We believe that building a sustainable future begins with the homes we create today. That's why our latest project in partnership with the city of Fort Wayne, Indiana is focused on exploring different building methodologies that challenge conventional building styles. For the Innovative Housing Showcase, we have focused on four unique housing solutions for infill development—Container Home, Algorithm-Driven Home, Eco Post-Frame Home, and Modular Home—designed to maximize energy efficiency, reduce build times, and minimize environmental impact.

Why Prototypes and Initial Costs

These homes represent the first time our team of subcontractors have worked on these four distinct styles. As prototypes, they come with higher upfront costs, mainly because subcontractors are learning and adapting to the new techniques and materials involved.

Focus on Process, Not Just Finishes 

For the interiors, finishes are consistent like countertops, cabinets, and furniture across all homes. This intentional uniformity helps you focus on what truly matters: the structure type and build process. By refining the framing and construction methods, we aim to drastically reduce future costs and timelines, which is the key to delivering affordable, high-quality housing.

Presold Homes, Built with Purpose 

All of these homes have been presold to Habitat for Humanity buyers—hardworking individuals and families who have earned the opportunity to own their first home. The equity built into each house goes directly to them, empowering future homeowners with financial stability. Our goal was to pack as much as possible into these prototype homes while keeping the cost as close as possible to competitive market rates.
